Human mind has endless potential. An average human mind is made up of more than 10 billion neurons and each neuron is estimated to have 10,000 connections. This is enough to explain the power of human mind.

To a certain extent we have an urge to improve constantly that comes to us naturally. For ages our ancestors have been able to achieve extraordinary, but this is not something that everyone has done. There are only few who challenge themselves to go beyond but those who dares lives more fulfilling life. It’s not about competing with others, it’s about pushing yourself to become your best version.

If we understand the enormous potential we all possess, we can blow the world with some incredible results. As they say, “SKY is the limit.”

Begin with self-awareness

Knowing yourself is critical to achieve anything in life. It’s hard to get a real picture of yourself when you are evolving every day. However, an image closer to your actual self helps you to get an idea of your abilities, limitations and how you react in different life situations. Even before you start your journey to unlock your true potential you need to build a foundation. Self-awareness is the tool that will help you to build a strong foundation by recognizing your strengths and keeping you persistent even in adversity.

The path to infinite is through finite

To unlock infinite potential, the first step is to learn how to be finite and define your path. Whenever we envision something big we struggle to break it down. We know the possibilities in this world are endless and so are the chances to get lost. Sticking to the defined path is key to not getting lost. Remember finite doesn’t mean you stop when you achieve your milestone. It’s time to reflect back and march towards a better you.

Develop a growth mindset

Often, we are stopped by factors such as age, job title and identity that limits us to believe our intelligence and potential are limited. Breaking this barrier requires growth mindset. A growth mindset believes learning and developing skills are lifelong process. Another attribute of growth mindset is willingness to accept the challenge and consider failures as temporary setback. Growth mindset encourages positive outlook to the life and allows you to go beyond your limit.

Have Faith in yourself

According to Think and Grow Rich, Faith is state of mind and when we have faith blend with intent it opens a direct line of communication between finite, thinking mind and infinite Intelligence. The great thinker William James made a statement years ago.

“The reason so many people never fulfill their potential is not a lack of intelligence, opportunity or resources, but a lack of faith in themselves.”

Faith is the core element behind the placebo effect. Placebo effect is when a person’s physical or mental health appears to improve after taking a placebo or ‘dummy’ treatment. Having faith on yourself is immensely powerful tool to turn your dreams into reality.

Consistency is the key

How many times you have set a goal and started taking actions to find yourself stopped after a while. This is common, we don’t stay consistent because its hard! It’s boring!! We love instant gratification that stops us to stay consistent. Resisting instant gratification with a vision that the long-term reward would be more fruitful is the way to stay focused. In the quest of being the best version of yourself consistency provides strengths to keep you going.

Take rest to reinvent the creativity

Creativity directly connects the finite mind to infinite. A finite mind is conditioned on our past experience and thoughts, therefore limits our capacity to think beyond. Creativity invokes new ideas and thoughts that opens the door to infinite intelligence. Creativity is necessary for innovation and problem solving. Rest and sleep has deep effect on our creativity. Without proper sleep our brain struggles to form new ideas. Study’s conducted shows how sleep can improve creative thinking.

The takeaway message

Most of us accept to live below our true potential because of the limiting beliefs, fear and comfortable lifestyle. It is possible to unleash infinite potential if you are ready to challenge yourself. Choice is your, whether you want to live an ordinary life, or lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. Unlocking your true potential is not a destination but a journey that makes you a better version of yourself and this world a better place to live. As Mahatma Gandhi said,

“The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.”
